Flamenco was a style I always found really intriguing. Each step is done with so much strength, weightlessness, passion, fluidity & grace - then the idea came to incorporate the two.
This work explores flamenco through the element of ether, where movement becomes light, presence, and transcendence. Ether is expressed not as something seen, but something felt—an energy beyond the physical body that captures the spiritual intensity and emotional depth of flamenco

Flamenco was a style I always found really intriguing. Each step is done with so much strength, weightlessness, passion, fluidity & grace - then the idea came to incorporate the two.
This painting explores flamenco through the element of air, where movement is shaped by breath, flow, and invisible force. The dancer holds a large fan that extends her gesture beyond the body, pulling her arm into a stretched arc as her dress flows backward in response. Air becomes visible through motion—revealing rhythm, tension, and release as the figure is carried by the space around her.
